This project, a natural continuation of a long series of works based on the concepts of ‘ski resort’ and ‘entertainment’, developed out of an invitation to organize an event at Saint Moritz.
It was natural to associate this unique and renowned resort with the equally unique and famous winter sports resort of Sarajevo.
Two places which encapsulate the sense and nonsense of human behaviour.
S. Moritz, symbol of extreme luxury but also home to sporting achievements and a spectacular natural landscape.
Sarajevo, a theatre of European history, host of the 1984 Winter Olympics and backdrop to the bloody conflict familiar to us all.
Here we find all the material typical of humanity and of human life, its multi-faceted relationship with nature, pleasure, performance, hatred, creativity, the interminable process of destruction and reconstruction typical of our planet and its inhabitants, of its chemical and organic composition.
Crucially, all these properties have been taken to an extreme in St Moritz and Sarajevo; suffice it to remember the massive economic and organizational efforts put into the Winter Olympics by Sarajevo, only to produce an even greater destructive force a few years later. And what can we say of the concentration of wealth in a single place like S. Moritz, a symbol of absolute well-being.
Two areas in which skiing does not necessarily hold the same meaning. This how the idea of an imaginary ski run arose, a long and very difficult piste linking the two resorts, which for me symbolize existence itself.

Il presente progetto, naturale proseguo di tutta una serie di lavori incentrati sul concetto di ski reasort e intrattenimento,nasce dalla richiesta di organizzare un evento a Sainkt Moritz.
Il collegamento tra questa località unica e altisonante con un’altrettanto unica e famosa stazione di sport invernali come Sarajevo è stato immediato.
Due luoghi che racchiudono il senso e non senso dei comportamenti umani.
S.Moritz, luogo del lusso estremo,ma anche luogo di imprese sportive e natura imponente.
Sarajevo, teatro di storia d’Europa,sede olimpica invernale nel 1984 e teatro dei sanguinosi scontri che tutti conosciamo.
C’è tutto quel materiale tipico dell’uomo e della sua vita, il rapporto variegato con la natura, il piacere, la performance, l’odio,la creatività,l’eterno processo di distruzione e ricostruzione tipico della terra e di chi la popola,della sua consistenza chimico organica.
Cosa determinante da notare, è come tutte queste caratteristiche abbiano in queste località toccato picchi estremi;basti pensare all’immenso sforzo economico e organizzativo compiuto da Sarajevo per le olimpiadi invernali e produrre pochi anni dopo, uno sforzo ancora maggiore per distruggere.
E cosa dire della concentrazione di ricchezza in un unico luogo come S.Moritz, simbolo di un benessere assoluto.
Due territori in cui sciare non significa forse la stessa cosa. Da qui nasce l’idea di un percorso immaginario, una lunga pista di difficoltà elevata che unisce queste due stazioni, per me simbolo dell’esistenza.
