In these books the artist, eliminating the traces originally written on the pages, recreates purely painted atmospheres of landscapes, people and experiences lived by working closely with the Amazigh communities of the Atlas mountains in Morocco and the Native Americans in the Appalachians, as pictorial distilled of those who have been his collaborative relationships within the two ambitious interdisciplinary platforms conceived by him in the recent years between East and West: Atla(s)now and me Before and after my time.
Through this collection of landscapes, naturals and human, and through a rigorous investigation of painting, the artist attempts to reconnect their boundaries, starting from their geological union when, during the Pangea when Morocco and New Jersey matched each other perfectly and to imagine an ideal concept, political, anthropological and social, and therefore broader and universally acceptable coexistence between people, territories and the controversial relationship between them. So, the books - and the purely painted pages within it - as well as being a practical support to a practice that has had to deal with the constant movement of the artist between East and West, in turn suggests an idea most poetic of coexistence, a "continuity of the border", which continues inwardly in visual dialogue, a way to enter and live physically the painting, by activating dormant senses.

In questi libri l’artista, utilizzando come supporto riviste e cataloghi d’arte, annulla le tracce originali stampate sulle loro pagine e "annota" pittoricamente i paesaggi, le persone e le esperienze che ha vissuto lavorando a stretto contatto con le comunità Amazigh delle montagne dell'Atlas in Marocco e dei Nativi americani sugli Appalachi, come distillato pittorico di quelle che sono state le sue attività relazionali all'interno delle due ambiziose piattaforme interdisciplinari da lui concepite negli ultimi anni tra oriente e occidente: Atla(s)now e Before me and after my time.
Attraverso questa raccolta di paesaggi, naturali e umani, e per mezzo di una rigorosa indagine pittorica, l'artista tenta l'utopica ricucitura dei loro confini, partendo dall'unione geologica che li vedeva insieme nella Pangea quando Marocco e New Jersey combaciavano tra loro perfettamente, per recuperare un concetto ideale, politico, antropologico e sociale, e dunque più ampio e universalmente condivisibile di coesistenza tra uomini, territori e il controverso rapporto tra di essi. Ecco che il libro - e il narrato pittorico all'interno di esso -, oltre ad essere il supporto pratico per una pratica che ha dovuto fare i conti con i continui spostamenti dell'artista tra oriente e occidente, suggerisce a sua volta un'idea più poetica di coesistenza, una "continuità di confine", così come la definisce l'artista stesso, che prosegue interiormente nel dialogo visivo che quei libri incoraggiano facendosi sfogliare. Un modo di entrare e vivere fisicamente la pittura, attivando sensi sopiti.
