Io sono futuro

IO SONO FUTURO nasce dalla volontà di contribuire a un processo di costruzione nelle aree del Lazio e delle Marche colpite dal recente sisma.
Il futuro è di chi lo abiterà, inizia dal passato e si costruisce nel presente, attraverso un distillato di sintesi e visionarietà.
Ora più che mai è fondamentale attivare e rafforzare percorsi educativi, didattici e formativi, in grado di stimolare visioni, consapevolezza ed etica del rispetto, che possano rendere i luoghi culturalmente e socialmente stimolanti, belli e sicuri, e in grado di produrre una microeconomia sostenibile. Oltre che ri-costruire, cosa dovuta e speriamo scontata, qui si tratta anche di costruire, contro ogni abbandono e amnesia dei luoghi, riparare umanità e non solo case.
Angelo Bellobono, sulla base dei progetti realizzati e delle esperienze maturate (tra cui Atla(s)now, Before me and after my time e Dynamo Camp) spesso a contatto con giovani e comunità che vivono condizioni di forte disagio, ha deciso di offrire il suo tempo e le sue competenze per affiancare la comunità ed i giovani colpiti da questa ennesima tragedia. Oggi non c’è più tempo per cercare colpevoli, ma sentirci tutti tali è l’unica soluzione per impegnarci a costruire futuro.
La prima parte del progetto si è realizzata nel corso di un mese trascorso nelle aree colpite, svolgendo laboratori d’arte nelle scuole e nelle tendopoli con giovani tra gli 11 e 22 anni. Questi hanno realizzato circa 80 dipinti, alcuni contenenti polvere di macerie, che hanno rappresentato il corpo di opere esposte presso la galleria Emmeotto di Roma dal 15 al 29 ottobre. La loro vendita ha permesso di raccogliere circa 7000 euro di fondi, utilizzati per finanziare altri laboratori d’arte, escursioni ed eventi di sci alpinismo e trail running aperti a tutti. L’Appennino è magico, raccoglie sapienze antiche, artigiani unici, paesaggi fiabeschi, è la colonna vertebrale del nostro paese e non può spezzarsi.

IO SONO FUTURO (I AM THE FUTURE) stems from the desire to contribute to a reconstruction process in the areas of Lazio and Marche affected by the recent earthquake.

The future belongs to those who will inhabit it. It begins in the past and is built in the present, through a distillation of synthesis and visionary thinking.

Now more than ever, it is essential to activate and strengthen educational and training programs capable of stimulating vision, awareness, and ethics of respect, which can make places culturally and socially stimulating, beautiful, and safe, and capable of producing a sustainable micro-economy. In addition to rebuilding, which is a given and hopefully a matter of course, it is also a question of constructing, against all abandonment and amnesia of places, repairing humanity and not just houses.

Angelo Bellobono, based on the projects he has carried out and the experience he has gained (including Atla(s)now, Before me and after my time, and Dynamo Camp), often in contact with young people and communities living in conditions of severe hardship, has decided to offer his time and expertise to support the community and young people affected by this latest tragedy. Today, there is no time to look for culprits, but feeling that we are all to blame is the only solution if we are to commit ourselves to building a future.

The first part of the project was carried out over the course of a month spent in the affected areas, running art workshops in schools and tent cities with young people aged between 11 and 22. They created around 80 paintings, some containing dust from the rubble, which formed the body of work exhibited at the Emmeotto gallery in Rome from October 15 to 29. Their sale raised around €7,000, which will be used entirely to fund other educational workshops throughout the year, to finance the participation of four local young people in nature guide and mid-mountain guide training courses run by the National College of Alpine Guides, and to organize a non-competitive ski mountaineering competition open to all. The Apennines are magical, home to ancient wisdom, unique artisans, and fairytale landscapes. They are the backbone of our country and cannot be broken. Then, in the longer term, there is the desire to create a multifunctional center in an eco-sustainable way that welcomes and generates culture, training, development, and sustainable promotion of the territory, connecting guides, artists, shepherds, farmers, artisans, and visionaries.
